About Samuel

Curiosity usually leads me to build something.

I’m Samuel Padilla. I design and build independent products while learning about the problems, interfaces, and technical systems behind them.

Why I make things

A working version gives me something real to learn from.

I believe the best way to understand an idea is to try to make it work. Building exposes the questions, constraints, and trade-offs that are easy to miss in theory.

The projects here are not presented as final answers. They are working products and a record of what I have learned while making them.

What I try to do

A few habits I return to.

  1. Start with a question I can make observable.
  2. Build a small version and learn from what it reveals.
  3. Write down the trade-offs and decisions that matter.
  4. Keep the language, interface, and code as direct as I can.
